Journal Article 2015 12 22 In this new century, many countries not only focus on research in science and technology, but also dedicate time and resources to the improvement of science education in schools and universities. Many authors and researchers worldwide argue that achieving scientific literacy for all students is one of the main goals of science education. Scientific literacy has become an internationally well-recognized educational slogan, buzzword, and cultivating and raising students’ scientific literacy in the different disciplines has become the philosophy of science education worldwide. The usual reason proffered is the increasing impact of science and technology on citizen’s everyday life and needs to sustainable development. This paper explores global viewpoints on the state of science and technology education, and nature of scientific literacy, theoretical framework and fundamental aspects of scientific literacy. <span id="docs-internal-guid-ba839cf4-7fff-6dd9-8171-15fa96073879"><span>در عصر حاضر بسیاری از کشورها علاوه بر پژوهش درباره حوزه های مختلف علوم و فناوری، زمان و منابع زیادی را صرف بهبود آموزش علوم و فناوری در مدارس و مراکز آموزش عالی می کنند. بسیاری از نویسندگان و پژوهشگران معتقدند که ارتقای سطح سواد علمی یکی از هدف های اصلی آموزش علوم تلقی می گردد. سواد علمی یک واژه بین المللی شناخته شده و پر آوازه است و ترویج و ارتقای آن در حوزه های مختلف به فلسفه آموزش علوم در سطح جهان تبدیل گشته است. علت این امر را می توان در تاثیر روزافزون علم و فناوری در زندگی روزمره شهروندان و نیاز جوامع به توسعه پایدار دانست. در این نوشتار دیدگاههای جهانی در رابطه با آموزش علوم و فناوری، ماهیت سواد علمی، مبانی و چارچوب نظری سواد علمی مورد بررسی و کاوش قرار گرفته است.</span></span> https://www.sciencecultivation.ir/article_242356_0a4b53ac1039d4529b3dbfa305b2a8ec.pdf
